These are the chosen few... important reference sires
This is a very special page... each dog appearing on this page was that of the chosen few. These are the dogs selected to become part of our tradition and history at Stardan. These are the dogs that we have devoted and linebred on. Many appear not once, but throughout the pedigree. Without these dogs, we would not be the kennel that we are. Our extreme thanks goes to each and every breeder and owner of these fine dogs. Words can do them no better justice! |

Ch. Karalot's Hotshot of Windsong/GroupWinner/Top Producer
Hotshot was out of Ch. Samtara's Suga Dandi owned by Joanne Hilbelink and bred by Joyce Cain. His dam was Nordic's Kameo of Windsong owned by Mary Kistner and bred by Gail Matthews. Hotshot was the first dog I fell in love with, he was the reason we bought our first show dog, Dandi. He is the sire of my foundation bitch, Ch. Windsong's KremePuff O'Stardan CD and was also the sire of AM CAN BMD CH Karalot's JakFrost O'Westwind, the dog selected for Dotti's first litter. Hotshot was the basis of the Stardan Kennel and appears in our pedigrees many times.

Am Can Bmd Ch. Karalot's JakFrost O'Westwind- BIS/Top Producer
JakFrost was Sired by Ch. Karalot's Hotshot Of Windsong and was out of Ch. Karalot's Kit N' Kaboodle. He was bred by Eugene and Joanne Hilbelink and owned by Tim Malueg. I was always a great fan of JakFrost and was taken by Jak's head, coat, and type. Dotti was bred to him because of his typiness and smaller size. It was a beautiful union and these pups carried nice leg, bone, coat, heads in addition to beautiful fronts, rears and side movement. I could not have been happier withthis litter. |

Ch. Westwind's Too Hot To Handle
Andy was bred by Tim Malueg and was sired by Ch. Karalot's Hotshot of Windsong. His dam was Am Can Ch. Karolot's Katy-Did of Westwind. Andy was very simular in type to Jak Frost with a simular pedigree. This litter produced a number of champions and also wonderful working dogs in obedience and performance. Andy was owned by Dave and Claudia Stage of Tunkhannock PA |
Ch. Windsong's Classic Composer- National Specialty BISS
Bach was bred by Mary & Jim Kistner and owned by Pat & Gary Griffin of MN. His sire was Ch. Kipperic's Jaksun out of Ch. Windsong's Sleigh Belle. I first noticed Bach while a puppy in the classes and was much taken by his strong rear and wonderful movement. This breeding was an experiment, as I had always bred Dotti to a smaller, typier dog due to her size. I waited until Bach got older and this would be Dot's last litter. This produced a Group and Specialty Winner, and 2 Sweepstakes winners. This was an uncle/ niece breeding |

Ch. Silver Sark's Escrow- Group Placer
Franny was bred and owned by Lynn Blackbourn of Milton, WI. He was handled to his championship by Debby Jahnke. Franny was out of a repeat breeding of our own Ch. Stardan's Jack Daniels to Ch. Silver Sark's Bo Derek. Franny was a very typey beautiful dog with nice movement. He reminded me very much of his sire as a young dog. Franny was bred to a Jack Daniels daughter, Am.Can.Ch. Stardan's Amaretto of Anadyr. The product of this breeding carries on our original line of dogs today. |
Ch.Mystical's Stolen Memory-BIS, BISS/Top Producer
Bandit was bred by Judi Schold of Pleasant Prairie, WI and was owned by Jane Anderson of MN. Bandit was sired by Ch. Sanorka's Venture T'Northwind. His dam was Ch. Mystical Sweet Bit O'Fantasy. Bandit's show career picked up just as Jacki's was slowing down. Bandit made a beautiful picture going around a ring and he had a pleasant outline. He carried more of a working coat as compared to most of my dog's but Ialways loved his structure and depth of body. I had always planned on breeding something to him and had an Amy daughter bred to him. This was an outstanding litter and produced very sound beautifulpups. Bandit was a specialty winner as well as an all breed BIS winner. |

Ch. Risuko's Joi Of Snowonder
I had been wanting to breed to a number of Risuko dogs, and while a number of these breedings did nottranspire, our next breeding will be a close linebreeding on this dog. The Rowdy x Gabby litter expected this spring is an uncle x niece combination bred on this dog.
|
Ch. Snowberry's Rough N'Ready-BISweeps Winner
Rowdy is bred and owned by Betty Gerlach of Hastings, MN. He is handled by Jane Anderson. Rowdy immediately caught my eye as a 6 month old puppy. He made an immediate splash in the ring and won Best In Sweeps at the GMSF and SAMI Specialties. I vowed at that time that I would breed something to him in the future. He already has litters on the ground with Specialty wins on his sons. I am extremely impressed with the consistency of his puppies, their movement, structure and type. |

Am & Can Ch. Windsong's Jakpot O'Pomirish/Group Placer/Top Producer
Gambler was bred by Jim and Mary Kistner from Elkhart Lake, WI. He was co-owned by Tim Malueg and Sally Baugniet. His sire was Am Can Bmd Ch Karalot's JakFrost of Westwind also owned by Tim, and he is out of Windsong's KoKo Puff. Gambler was a beautiful dog with tons of bone and a soft expression. He had tons of body and a beautiful front. Gambler definately stamped his pups and mostwould have some body biscuit deep within the coat.
Gambler was behind Linda Lashley's Anadyr line and also appears in Judi Schold's Mystical dogs. They
tie in well with the Jack Daniels descendants. |
Ch. Kamodan's Dealer's Choice- National Specialty Futurity Winner/Group Placer
Dealer was bred by Eugene Ney of Kamodan Samoyeds, and later purchased by Linda Lashley of Anadyr Samoyeds. His sire was Am & Can Ch. Windsong's JakPot O'Pomirish owned by Tim Malueg. Dealer's dam was Ch. Karalot's Kristan of Kamodan who was bred byJoanne Hilbelink. Dealer was another example of the
structure, movement and type found in these related lines. Eugene Ney, Tim Malueg and myself all purchased our initial show dogs within weeks of each other. We learned from our tutors, Mary Kistner and Joanne Hilbelink. Most of our dogs are the result of different combinations of the Windsong and Karalot kennels. These related lines now also include Mystical, Anadyr and Snowberry. |

CH. Stardan's Jack Daniels-BISS/Group Winner/Top Producer
This page would not be the same without mentioning Jacki. He was out of Am Can Bmd Ch Karalot's JakFrost O'Westwind. Jacki's dam was our foundation bitch, Ch. Windsong's KremePuff O'Stardan CD. While Jacki only sired one litter here, his legacy lives on in all of our dogs through his daughter Amy. Many of his descendants are present in other lines today, including Snowberry, Anadyr, Windsong, and Seelah and Wintery. He had beautiful movement with a beautiful front and deep chest. Jacki was a medium dog measuring 22.5 inches at the withers. He carried an overwhelming amount of coat and was competitive out of coat. The photo pictured is him with no undercoat winning a Group I. |
Am Can Ch Windsong's Yankee Doodle Daddi-BIS
Toby was bred by Jim and Mary Kistner and was ownedby Eugene Ney. He was a beautiful dog with gorgeous movement. He is a full brother to both Hotshot and
our first dog, Dandi. Toby appears in our lineage through the Anadyr line. My selection of a stud service puppy out of a Dealer daughter breeding to Jack, introduced the Toby influence to our line.
Toby also appears in the Donnereign kennels. John Donner also bred heavily on the Samtara lines and
John was so taken with Toby that he later purchased him from Eugene when he was 10. |

Karalot's Hotshot of Windsong, Am Can Ch. Ch Windsong's Yankee Doodle Dandi CD, and littermate Am Can Ch. Windsong's Yankee Doodle Daddi-BIS |
